![]() | Bette Bradley - Carewest Volunteer Bette Bradley never thought she would consider the end-of-life process beautiful. But today the 64-year-old Carewest volunteer says it's just that. Bette's own journey with the end-of-life process began in 1993 when she moved back hom from overseas to care for her mother, who had pancreatic cancer that had spread to her liver. Read more.... |
![]() | Bob Armstrong - Carewest Resident Bob Armstrong is a man of few words, but when he does speak, he makes sure it has meaning. Bob is a resident of Carewest Signal Pointe, home to 48 seniors with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. The Supportive Pathways program, developed by Carewest in 1996, was the first of it's kind in Calgary and has grown to be the provincial standard of dementia care training. Read more.... |

Piper Bernbaum is a volunteer with Calgary's LINKages, a non-profit program that pairs students with seniors living in care centres.
