Pharmacy Technician - 2010-0687

We currently have a regular full-time position available at our Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre site.  Under the Technician Supervisor, the Pharmacy Techician performs duties and responsibilities as per the ACP (Alberta College of Pharmacists) defined scope of practice. This position is responsible for performing the duties associated with preparing patient specific medications and other related duties as required.  Carewest technician certification program is required and ACP certificate.  The successful candidate must have:

• Graduate of ACP program
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Filemaker, Word)
• Experience in a long term or acute care hospital pharmacy is preferred; Experience in a community pharmacy may be considered;
• Typing (40 words per min. desired); Experience with computer medication order entry (Pharmacy Computer System) preferred
