Carewest is leading the way in innovative health care. That means we continue to build on our success. In addition to quality long-term care, we offer many special programs that other continuing care providers do not - transitional programs such as rehabilitation and recovery and other ambulatory community programs. In fact, much of what we do is focused on meeting the needs of people of all ages who require the time and care to recuperate and undergo therapy for a few weeks or months before they go home or into other alternative living arrangements. As Calgary's largest care provider of its kind, we operate nine care centres and several community services aimed at helping people live more active, independent lives. In 2011, we will be celebrating our 50th anniversary in providing care to the Calgary community. We're proud of our history - but even prouder of our people and our ability to continuously embrace change to meet the needs of the community - providing quality, safe and innovative care as we go.

While Carewest is its own entity, we are a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alberta Health Services and work closely with our partners and affliliations, which help us define the shape of the care and services we provide for our residents, clients and their families.
