Employee Recognition Program
Carewest makes a point of saying thank you to its employees for terrific work - either as individuals or as members of groups and teams - through its employee recognition program.
The Making a Difference Recognition Program is founded on the guiding principles that:
- All Carewest employees will have a fair opportunity to be recognized - and given the opportunity to recognize others as well.
- Recognition will be timely, consistent, sincere and meaningful.
Carewest employees are recognized for:
- Going the extra mile with customer service
- Demonstrating innovation
- Long service
- Effective team work
- Helping to create a learning environment
- Promoting community awareness
- Demonstrating safety/wellness in the workplace
- Carrying out effective communications
- Finding ways we can increase our efficiency and productivity
- Making improvements to the quality of our programs, services and facilities
- Volunteering with Carewest

The Employee Recognition Committee is a voluntary group of Carewest employees from all sites. Members of the committee are tasked with the delivery of the approved events that comprise the Making a Difference recognition program.
We're proud of the Carewest Recognition Program because it's organized and carried out by Carewest employees. Its success depends on them and involvement is encouraged.
